It all began in the early 1960s, when the company’s founder, Francisco Vaz da Costa, fascinated by embroidery, decided that this would be the differentiating factor in what he would produce: high-quality bed linen decorated with embroidery. Francisco discovered that Switzerland had the most advanced embroidery techniques, and it was in this country that he purchased the company’s first embroidery machine. It was on this machine that BOVI’s first creations emerged—wonderful embroideries that still form part of its brand image today. Over time, BOVI expanded and became a brand recognized for the quality of its products and its timeless, sophisticated, and elegant design. All BOVI products are designed and produced in Portugal and cover a wide range of home textiles in the categories of Bed, Table, and Baby.
