In our sock factory, located in Vila Nova de Famalicão in northern Portugal, we produce approximately 3 to 4 million pairs of socks per year on our state-of-the-art knitting machines. Over the past few years, we have invested more than €1 million in new machines and knitting technology. Our main priority is to remain at the forefront of quality, technology, and design solutions, while also aiming to provide the most energy- and water-efficient solutions for the benefit of the environment. Customer service, on-time delivery, and competitive pricing are key for us. From our facility in Portugal, we deliver socks directly to our clients’ warehouses. Market proximity allows for rapid response, shorter transport times, and a lower carbon footprint during shipping. Almost all European destinations are reached within 5 working days. We are always ready to go the extra mile! ComfySocks was founded in May 1998 by Jørgen Mørup and Steen Aaes, two experienced textile manufacturers from Herning, Denmark. Ulrik joined the company in 2000, and in 2004, as part of the acquisition of another Danish sock factory, Lars joined the team. ComfySocks continues to be managed by the same consistent and proud Danish production team, with 20 years of sock manufacturing experience. We honor the proud history of our company, but we are equally proud of the strong team that today defines ComfySocks, with expertise in technical production, customer service, product development, and sustainability. ComfySocks has always been managed based on Scandinavian business practices and values. In 2004, we moved our production unit to Lithuania, where we successfully expanded the company from 50 knitting machines to 150. However, due to a lack of skilled labor, we decided to transfer production to Portugal, a country known for its strong textile industry. Today, we are a solid family company with a highly qualified team led by Filipe and Ulrik. By combining our years of experience and knowledge from Denmark and Lithuania with the best of Portugal, we are excited to have begun the best chapter in our history.
