Confeções Cruzeiro was founded in 1971 by Júlio da Silva Sampaio and Rosalina da Silva Leiras, initially producing home textiles. After 15 years in this field and diversifying into various types of clothing, the company specialized exclusively in shirts for men, women, and children. Based in Guimarães, Portugal, Confeções Cruzeiro exports 90% of its production to international markets, including Spain, England, France, the USA, Russia, Japan, China, Germany, Ireland, Angola, Mozambique, and Namibia, collaborating with major national and international brands. Investing in new technologies and employee training is fundamental to maintaining the high quality required for the company’s growth. This commitment to quality has made Confeções Cruzeiro the largest national producer of men’s shirts. The company employs 160 people directly and reaches around 500 indirectly through subcontractors, with a production capacity of 8,000 pieces per day. Additionally, Confeções Cruzeiro owns a weaving company that supports its production line. As a family-run business now managed by its second generation, Confeções Cruzeiro has been recognized as an “SME of Excellence” since 2010. The company continues to prioritize outstanding service and maintain the high standards of a 100% Portuguese enterprise.
