Description:

In 1982, Marcelino da Rosa and Maria de Fátima Novais founded a family-owned company dedicated to shirt manufacturing. At that time, production was solely focused on the domestic market. In 1986, a commitment to quality and innovation led Giliana to adopt an innovative manufacturing process: shirts were made from undyed fabric and subsequently dyed. This step allowed Giliana to stand out from national competitors and expand into international markets, exporting nearly 90% of its production, primarily to Europe. Today, Giliana produces exclusively for the international market, including the USA, Europe, and African countries. The headquarters, covering a total area of 8,500 m², is located in Guimarães. There is another production facility of 4,600 m² in Vila Verde (15 km from Braga), dedicated solely to the manufacturing process. Giliana employs 190 staff members. In 2001, the company changed its legal status to a public limited company and simultaneously increased its capital to €1,000,000. Giliana’s products are distinguished by their quality. When purchasing a product made by Giliana, clients benefit from the legacy of 28 years of experience. Indeed, Giliana continues to exceed customer expectations in the manufacturing of its products.
