Description:

Isla Unipessoal Lda is a Portuguese company with a warehouse located in the north of the country (the core of the national textile industry), specializing in the trade of high-quality fabrics for women, men, and children. We have the capacity to supply yarn-dyed fabrics, piece-dyed fabrics, printed fabrics, and PFD. Our fabrics can be supplied in either conventional or sustainable versions (GOTS, OCS, RCS, BCI, Ecovero, …) and always under the OEKO-TEX 100 Standard. Our mission is to make all our know-how, the result of years of commercial and technical experience, available to our clients, ensuring they receive exactly what they need. While we recognize that our industrial activity does not have a major environmental impact, it is not completely devoid of it. Therefore, Isla Unipessoal Lda takes an active stance on sustainability through a careful selection of partners who guarantee compliance with these requirements. The use of sustainable materials has been one of Isla’s main priorities, including BCI cotton, organic cotton, and recycled polyester, which help reduce environmental impact. These follow certification standards that ensure no use of toxic insecticides, herbicides, or fungicides, promote good farming practices, and encourage responsible use of resources such as water, as well as reducing CO2 emissions. In the case of recycled polyester, its use helps prevent plastic waste from ending up in landfills or oceans. In this way, we are fully prepared to supply organic cotton fabrics, holding GOTS, OCS, and RCS certifications.
