Quality remains, above all, its guiding principle. João Pereira Guimarães Lda. is a family-owned business, founded in 1956 by its namesake founder. Initially located in the center of Porto, the company began its textile path producing coarse knitwear in wool and cotton, along with a dedicated area for garment making. In 1965, it moved to its current facilities in Leça do Balio, a building that has grown and adapted over the years to meet changing needs. Throughout its journey, the company has specialized not only in garment making but also in the production of circular knits. Today, it works exclusively with synthetic and artificial fibers in warp-knitted fabrics, dedicated to technical, functional, and apparel purposes. Management remains within the family, now entering its third generation.
