João Pereira Fernandes founded his own company in 1933, focusing primarily on weaving. The business quickly developed, and in 1964, the owner decided to move it to its current location, maintaining the same line of activity. In early 1969, the company became a limited liability company under the name J. Pereira Fernandes & Filhos, Lda. By 1970, the company had expanded to cover all stages of fabric production: spinning, weaving, dyeing, finishing, and manufacturing. At that time, its main market was Africa. However, with the independence of Angola, Guinea, and Mozambique, the market faced significant changes, including challenges such as fund transfers. As a result, the company was forced to seek new markets. J. Pereira Fernandes adapted its products accordingly and today enjoys great success in these markets. In 1999, the company changed its corporate name to J. Pereira Fernandes S.A. On October 1, 2009, a reorganization of the J. Pereira Fernandes S.A. group led to the spin-off of the company and the subsequent creation of a new entity, J. Pereira Fernandes II, S.A. Through continuous investment, J. Pereira Fernandes II, S.A. aims to modernize its operations to improve product quality and increase competitiveness. Today, the company produces a wide range of home textiles, including: * Flannel sheets * Percale * Tablecloths * Kitchen towels J. Pereira Fernandes II, S.A. develops, produces, and markets home textiles competitively and profitably, using appropriate technology and superior quality. Its mission is to ensure customer satisfaction while contributing to sector productivity, always respecting individuals, society, and the environment.
