Founded by Armando da Silva Antunes in 1971, and after several years working in commerce—specifically in the sale of pocket squares and kitchen cloths—LASA launched in 1980 an industrial project dedicated exclusively to the production of terry towels for bath use. Since then, over more than 30 years, LASA has founded and acquired companies in a continuous strategy of consolidation, creating critical mass, scale, and seeking new opportunities, which today allows it to offer a broad and complementary range of home textile products. Driven by this growth and sustainability dynamic, the LASA Group was established, currently comprising the following companies: LASA (Preparation, Weaving, Yarn and Fabric Dyeing, Garment Manufacturing and Embroidery, Packaging, and Robotized Warehousing), FILASA (Preparation, Spinning, Dyeing, and Robotized Warehousing), FILASA ER (Energy Resources and Cogeneration), LUZMONT (Preparation, Weaving, and Manufacturing), and A&A – Home Collection (Home Decoration Sales). All LASA Group companies are located in northern Portugal, in Guimarães, at the heart of the textile industry. Each facility features a modern machinery park supported by a continuous investment policy, employing over 700 people and covering approximately 40,000 m² of production area. Excellence in creation and innovation processes, productive capacity, the logistics platform, and the commercial dynamics developed over the years—essentially the “know-how” acquired—have been and continue to be the keys to the success of LASA Group’s business.
