Lisamodel was founded in October 2007 in São Mamede de Negrelos, Santo Tirso, initially focusing on the sale of textile accessories and the handcrafted production of items such as bows, plumes, and pom-poms. In 2012, with a forward-looking vision, founder Armando Carvalho invested in advanced machinery for in-house ribbon production. This prompted the company to relocate to an industrial area in the parish of Vilarinho, where it remains today. Since then, Lisamodel has maintained continuous investment in new technologies, regularly acquiring looms and additional equipment to ensure a diversified production capable of meeting the evolving needs of its clients. In January and June 2023, the company further strengthened its production capacity by acquiring specialized machines for fringes and galloons from two companies that had closed, significantly expanding the variety of products offered. Currently, Lisamodel operates in an area exceeding 2,500 m² with around 20 employees, running 24 hours a day, five days a week, producing over 1 million meters of ribbon per month and maintaining a permanent stock of ribbons.
