Located in the northern region of Portugal, Locama is a company specialized in the development and production of home textiles, founded in 1978. Our story began as a family business producing fabrics, with know-how passed down through generations, which today manifests in a strong team-oriented approach focused on the expertise and skill of our specialists. We are guided by values such as excellence, resilience, innovation, and forward-thinking, inspired by the latest global trends as well as the dynamic business environment of our region, the heart of the Portuguese textile industry. Locama is committed to quality and the excellence of the Made in Portugal brand. We promote sustainable consumption by respecting nature and recycling materials used in our production processes. We transform weaving, cutting, and sewing waste into reusable materials, reducing the need for new raw materials and supporting a circular economy. At Locama, our goal is to make production less dependent on virgin materials and to pursue a zero-waste policy. We use natural fibers from sustainable sources, as well as recycled and certified recovered fibers, enabling endless possibilities for blends that enhance the quality of each product. We believe that no material should be wasted, and at every stage—design, creation, production, packaging, and shipping—it is possible to choose the most sustainable option, ensuring that each piece has a positive impact.
