Luis Brito texteis

LBT is the result of nearly 30 years of experience in supplying and manufacturing textiles in Portugal. It all began in the 1980s with the creation of a simple sewing service by Mr. Augusto Brito. After 10 years of continuous growth in the European market, Mr. Brito decided to restructure the previous company, and thus L&B was born.

Description:

L&B continued its previous growth by forming a strategic partnership with a major fabric producer/finisher, Tintex. At the same time, a new garment company, Reistex, was established to meet the production demands of European clients. In 2003, the company underwent a new restructuring. Luís Brito (PhD, BEng) brought fresh energy to the business, leading to the creation of LBT. This marked a new client-focused approach, combined with innovative services that made LBT a unique supplier of knitwear. LBT develops all types of knit garments, from the simplest to the most complex, producing between 700,000 and 800,000 units annually. Internal PLM and CRM systems are seamlessly integrated with Gerber Technologies’ automated cutting and spreading systems, maximizing efficiency and minimizing errors. The highly skilled and motivated workforce includes 4 pattern makers and 85 employees. The current facilities cover more than 5,000 m² and encompass all stages of garment production, from fabric inspection and cutting to hanging and storage. LBT also provides in-house embroidery, digital printing, and transfer application, primarily for sampling and small production runs. To achieve the highest quality in jersey pieces, LBT uses specialized machinery, including Ascolite machines and the ability to perform “topper” finishing during pressing.
