Objective

Animal causes are increasingly being prioritized across various industry segments, especially regarding cosmetic products.

The PETA Approved Vegan seal is the certification granted by the animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) to non-food products that do not use any animal-derived ingredients or that have not been tested on animals, either during manufacturing or handling.

PETA is a non-governmental environmental organization (NGO) founded in 1980, and since then has carried out campaigns against animal abuse and exploitation, encouraging organizations to stop testing on animals and using animal-derived ingredients.

Today, it already has more than 2 million dedicated members exclusively focused on animal rights, and it is also a seal recognized within the European community.
Currently, we see a diverse and broad market. Therefore, it is essential to cater to various audiences with different interests and positions. Additionally, there has been a growing wave of awareness around sustainable and, above all, less environmentally harmful practices.

The PETA Approved Vegan seal certifies that our products are free from any animal-derived ingredients. The Cruelty-Free seal certifies that our production processes do not involve animal testing at any stage of development or production, directly or indirectly (outsourced). All product testing is carried out through technical laboratory procedures, not on animals. The organization focuses on the four areas where the largest number of animals suffer the most intensely and for the longest periods: the food industry, the clothing trade, laboratories, and the entertainment industry.

PETA certifications for Simple Organic ensure that:

  • The finished product, as well as its ingredients, have not been tested on animals at any stage of development by the company, its laboratories, factories, or suppliers from a specified date;

  • No animal testing has been carried out after that date and during the certification process, and PETA monitors manufacturing processes from the date of seal issuance;

  • Independent audits by NGOs can be conducted at any time.

Products only receive the seal if they have not been tested on animals directly or indirectly (outsourced) and are free of any animal-derived ingredients.

Supported by comprehensive research, PETA brings together members of the scientific, corporate, and legislative communities worldwide to achieve large-scale, long-term changes that improve animal welfare and prevent deaths. By choosing a vegan and cruelty-free product, you support animal welfare and the environment.
