We place GRS-required orders with Portuguese partner factories that hold a Global Recycled Standard certificate for your product, and our team manages it through to the transaction certificate for your lot. Certificates are held in the partner factory’s name; PCF itself is not certified. Minimums start from 50–100 pieces per style and colour.

Planning costs per piece: t-shirt €6–11, hoodie €14–24, jacket €35–75. Recycled fabric availability, colours and mill minimums depend on the mill, and certified fabric usually costs more, so the difference comes in writing with your quote.
Costs are the base ranges from our free cost calculator: per piece, ex-factory, excluding VAT, at 300–500 units with mid-range fabric and standard complexity. Your tech pack sets the final quote. Maker count: PCF’s documented set of 80 Portuguese makers, checked October 2026. It counts what each maker publishes; it is not a list of our partners, and not every partner holds every certificate.
The Global Recycled Standard tracks recycled content through the supply chain and adds social, environmental and chemical rules. It is the certificate behind a “made with recycled fibre” claim.
How to brief a GRS order
We documented 80 Portuguese clothing makers in October 2026 and recorded the certifications each one publishes. Counts only: what matters for your order is the current certificate of the partner that makes it.

Recycled polyester and recycled cotton blends come from mills in Portugal and Europe. Availability, colours and fabric minimums depend on the mill, so we confirm them on your brief.
We place your brief with a partner factory whose GRS scope covers your product, and our team manages it from sample to delivery. Our fee is quoted in writing before any work starts, and it never depends on order size.

Ask for the scope certificates of the mill and the partner factory and look the numbers up in Textile Exchange’s certificate database. Then approve the sample as usual.

Around 5 to 7 weeks for jersey and fleece. The partner factory invoices samples and production; we invoice only our own services.
Tech pack: 3–5 working days, 2–3 revision rounds.

No. GRS certificates are held in the partner factory’s name, per site and per scope. We place GRS-required orders with partners who hold one covering your product, and you can check it in Textile Exchange’s database before you order.
Both verify recycled content. GRS adds social, environmental and chemical rules, and is the one most retailers ask for. RCS covers the content claim only.
From 50–100 pieces per style and colour, agreed case by case. The recycled fabric has its own mill minimum, which can set a higher floor; we confirm it on your brief.
Certified recycled fabric usually costs more than conventional fabric, and availability depends on the mill. Production itself runs in the normal window, 5 to 7 weeks for jersey and fleece.
Only if the product has at least 50% recycled content, every step is certified and your lot has a transaction certificate. From 20% the product can be GRS certified, but without the logo on the product.
