What is the minimum order for jeans in Portugal?

Denim starts from 150 units per style in our group. Some denim specialists ask for 200+, and the Directory shows each factory’s MOQ so you can shortlist the right ones.

How much does a pair of jeans cost to make?

The cost calculator puts jeans at €22–40 per piece ex-factory (300–500 units, mid fabric, standard complexity). A wash or dye treatment adds about €2.50 a unit.

How long do denim samples and production take?

Denim prototypes take 3–6 weeks and cost €150–400 each, because every sample goes through a wash. Production then runs 8 to 10 weeks. Our denim prototyping guide walks through each step.

Which washes can Portuguese factories do?

Stone, enzyme, ozone, rinse and acid wash are all available through the factories and wash houses in the north. Denim wash types explained compares look and cost.

Can I use recycled or certified denim?

Yes. Raw, selvedge and recycled-content denim are all in scope. OEKO-TEX and GRS are the certificates you meet most here; say in your brief if either is required.

How it works

How a denim order runs

Send your brief
Fits, fabric (raw, selvedge, stretch, recycled), wash look, trims and quantities. Free, and you get a reply within 24 hours.
Spec fit and wash
Denim shrinks and twists in the wash, so measurements must be given after wash. A €79 tech pack covers it, ready in 3–5 working days.
Matched to a denim factory
We route your brief to a factory in our group that sews denim and works with a wash house. Our fee is quoted in writing before anything starts.
Prototype and wash test
Denim prototypes take 3–6 weeks and cost €150–400 each. Approve the wash standard on a real garment, not a photo.
Production
Around 8 to 10 weeks. The factory bills you directly, with no commission on your order.
